Project 2 Kicking

The six shots of the six shot system are extra wide shot, wide shot, extra close up, close up, mid shot and over the shoulder. Extra wide shots set the scene, you see everything that is going to be in the shot. wide shots are closer up than extra wide shots and show the whole persons body. extra close up are shots of the hands. In the video they are shots of Noah touching his feet. Close ups are shots of the face. Mid shots are waist and up shots. Over the should are close shots showing what the person is doing over the shoulder.

I learned how to Shot the right shots for a six shot system and edit them into 4 second or less. In the next project i will learn to record with better lighting so the persons face isn't blacked out. I shot the CU in a window area and the exposure for his face was wrong.

Highlight Video

When starting this project I didn't know anything about Final Cut Pro X. I learned how to get videos off YouTube and upload them to Final Cut. I choose what parts of the video I wanted to be in the video using the hot keys I for input and O for output. The clips that I selected  get put into the favorites category . Once I choose all my clips i put them into the timeline. With all the clips into the timeline I added transitions with the hot key Command T. The video had to be exactly one minute long so the end of it was cut off and another end transition was added. The audio I choose for the Highlight video was the official song for the World Cup 2014. The video was done on Soccer because it is one of my favorite hobbies. I use to play soccer and still enjoy watching soccer games and the world cup on TV.
