Interview

This quarter of e-comm has been a learning experience for me. I never intended to go in to the video strand of e-comm but this quarter was still fun. I learned all about how to shoot video, act in a video, and how to edit. I learned how to use Final Cut Pro X. There are a lot of short cut keys to learn. Like O for output ,I for Input, ⌘ E for export. While acting you have to be normal. You can not look at the camera unless your meant to. moving the camera slightly while recording shows up a lot in editing. There is a lot of work put into each video that is made. This class also teaches you how to collaborate with a lot of people. Everyone has to work together to get to the common goal. If one person isnt there is messes up everyone else.

Chase Scene

In this Chase scene project I learned how to work in larger groups. In all the other projects we had 1-2 people, this time we had 4.  Working in groups of four you have to separate the jobs. Some people will be actors or Directors or story borders. Working with more people lets you do the part of the video making you do best. I also learned how to edit longer videos. This is the longest video we had to storyboard and edit. In my next project I will know how to work in a group and collaborate with more people. This collaboration is different because you have to work with more people. In the next project I can improve my collaboration by speaking out more and redoing the shots that don't look the best. Everyone can improve there collaboration by not missing any filming days and holding everyone else up.

In this project I learned how to work with other people while shooting a video. I also learned how to straighten shots in editing without reshooting them, using the transform tool. While doing the project I had to change the shoots so the shadows didn't get in the way of the actor. Collaboration is working with other people to get something done. This applies to the project we did because we had to work together and try to complete the same goal. The better we collaborated with each other the faster we could shoot each shot. In the next project I will remember to story board as throughly as possible. The better you story board the easier and more smoothly the shooting goes.
